Wildebeest

There are three different species of wildebeest: blue wildebeest, black wildebeest and bearded wildebeest. The last one is found in East Africa, the enormous herd that migrates continiously in the Serengeti and Masai Mara consists only of bearded wildebeest. The blue has it's home more south in Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and South Africe.

The endagered black wildebeest is only to be found in South Africa. Some national parks and private game reserves have these animals re-introduced.
